The Gift of Peace

Luke 2:14 "Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests."
One of the Great things we celebrate this Christmas is the Gift of Peace through the coming of our LORD.

I've been thinking about that verse all week. God brings us Peace with Him, Peace in our Relationships, Peace in the midst of the storms. For me, I'm so thankful that God gives us a PEACE that TRANSENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING! I know a lot of people who are going through difficult circumstances right now and yet the peace of God still rules their lives.

The Question this week is How has God brought PEACE to your life?

Christ-mas

Advent Week #1

The season is upon us! What are you doing to prepare for Christmas? Are there some things you're doing to stay focused on Christ in the midst of the hustle and bustle? Feel free to share.

Give, Grow, Go

NVAG! We've been talking about the Church- it's not a building, not a stationary location, it's people, it's the Kingdom advancing! The Vision for NVAG is that every person would be committed to:
GIVING- Giving worship to God in the Sunday Morning Corporate setting
GROWING- Growing within the context of a Sunday School Class, Small Group or Bible Study
Going- Serving in a ministry capacity

"Now we are the body of Christ and each one of us is a part of it." 1 Corinthians 12:27

Update on the Building

The church will be ready for use starting on Wednesday (this week). We have a group coming in to do some professional cleanup tomorrow and then we'll be ready to go.

Worship the King

I want to know- We're finishing our worship series this Sunday. What are some of the things that God has shown you about worship? How do you feel like your growing in this area (worship)?

Power of Prayer

Thank you church family for all of your prayers and support for Rachel's Father (James). He is coming home from the hospital today. It has been a rollercoaster of a week, definately some close calls. The bleeding has stopped and his blood count is coming back up. Praise the LORD! And thank you to all the saints for their prayers!

Worship/Surrender

We started our new Worship Series thise week. Sunday we talked about Total Surrender to God. How are you learning to Surrender to the LORD in your life?

Our Focus this week is the LORDSHIP of Jesus Christ. How are you striving to live "Jesus is LORD"?

Answered Prayer

Thank you NVAG Family for all of your prayers for June. She had successful Tripple Bi-pass (heart) surgery this past week. She's doing great and thanks you all for your prayers and support!

God give us Vision!
